Air Rifle GAMO Hunter 1250 4.5mm / .177cal

 Gamo hunter 1250 or hunter by short is my first self purchased airgun. It's one of the most powerfull spring powered air rifles on the market. 4.5mm(or .177cal) bullet leaves the barrel at 1250fps and it will break the sound barrier while fyling causing loud bang even after the suppressor in front of the barrel. With hevier bullet you can reduce and even get rid of the sonic boom.

At the front of the barrel with GAMO PRO MAGNUM Penetration-pellets (0.49g / 7.56gr) rifle generates 35.57joules of force. With lighter pellets like for example GAMO LETHAL pellets you get lower force but better penetration.

Picture of the rifle with bipod and skope. Bipod is from Ebay and it's attached to the barrel with the attachment that came with it. Bipod is attached as close to hinge as possible still making sure you can load the weapon without removing the bipod. Rifle is break barrel.

Accuracy of the rifle is not the best possible because of the recoil created by the strong spring in it. Good example of the recoil is that when my friend shot this rifle and he hold scope too close to his eye scope hit his eye and it made a good mark on him. You will hit your target when you get used to it and have your scope properly set. There is enough speed and power for anybody. Because the sonic boom it doesn't really work as backyard gun.

Scope

Scope is cheap 3-9x40 i purchased from DealExtreme for 35€ way back. Even tho the scope is cheap and chinese it's still fairly accurate. It has light on the reticle and you can choose colors for the reticle from two and there is 5 brightness levels for both. Scope can now be purcased for even cheaper from Ebay.

Pellets

I mostly use GAMO PRO MAGNUM Penetration-pellets because they are good on price/quality/amount ratio. I have also gotten some GAMO Rocket and GAMO Lethal pellets.
